The Story Behind
HindUSA

It started with a pun. It became a movement.

The Pun

HindUSA. Hindu plus USA. That is the whole joke. You either got it immediately or you had to say it out loud. Either way, you smiled.

That smile is the point. Hindu Americans have been in this country for generations. We have built companies, hospitals, and universities. We have served in government and won championships. And somehow we never had a brand that just said: we are here, we are proud, and we have a good sense of humor about all of it.

The Numbers

4.1 million Hindu Americans. The highest-educated religious demographic in the country. The highest-earning. People who came with nothing, built everything, and raised children who did the same. That story deserves a celebration. This is it.

What HindUSA Is Not

We are not a temple. We are not a religious organization. We are not affiliated with any sect, swami, or spiritual movement. We sell shirts and we celebrate culture.

We are not trying to convert anyone. Hinduism has never worked that way and we are not starting now.

We are not here to argue about which tradition is correct. There are 33 million gods in Hinduism. There is room for everyone.

What We Actually Do

  • Celebrate Hindu holidays with facts, context, and actual joy
  • Share sourced statistics about the Hindu-American community
  • Sell merch that makes Hindu Americans feel seen
  • Build a resource that is accurate, respectful, and fun
  • Remind everyone that yoga came from somewhere

"Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam."

The world is one family. The Maha Upanishad. About 3,000 years old. Still true.
